Pre-requisites

Trainees must hold a recognised trade qualification (e.g. NVQ/SNVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing and Heating or Domestic Heating)

OR be working towards one

OR have evidence of a number of years’ experience in the plumbing or heating industry.

Course Overview:

This one-day course delivers comprehensive training in the design, installation, servicing, and maintenance of unvented domestic hot water storage systems, in line with G3 of the Building Regulations (England and Wales). It ensures compliance with current legislation and prepares installers to safely work on pressurised hot water systems.

Assessment:

• Multiple-choice written exam
• Practical assessment (e.g., identifying faults, system setup)

BPEC accredited certificate

Successful candidates receive a BPEC Certificate of Competence, which is recognised by employers, manufacturers, and local authorities. This certification allows registration with competent person schemes such as Gas Safe and others.

Class sizes are kept small so we can deliver focused, practical learning. You’re provided with all of the course materials, and any equipment needed to complete the course.
